Album Info:Here are ten original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken on or about the Pennsylvania Railroad's Atglen & Susquehanna Branch Trestle near Safe Harbor, Pennsylvania, perhaps in the Summer of 1936. Whatever the exact date, these photos were taken before the Branch was electrified in 1937. I purchased all of these photos in a single eBay auction on Thursday, 9 August 2018. Also included is a related photo that was taken during the Conrail era.

Description:  Here is the sixth of ten original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken on or about the Pennsylvania Railroad's Atglen & Susquehanna Branch Trestle near Safe Harbor, Pennsylvania, c. 1936. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad Maintenance-of-Way cars #492185 and 492201. Both are Class XL's and are here serving with the Testele Maintenance Crew. Note the four air compressor machines in the foreground; they are connected by hoses to the guard rails, which also serve as compressed-air feed pipes along the entire length of the Trestle!

Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at Safe Harbor, Pennsylvania, c. 1976. Shown here (L to R) are Conrail engine #4446 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are E44 (C-C) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4446 was constructed for the Pennsylvania Railroad in October of 1962 and rebuilt as an E44A in October of 1967. The Atglen & Susquehanna Trestle dominates the background. ("PrrFan18n")

Title:  AMTK 4935, GG1, 1978
Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at Safe Harbor, Pennsylvania, on 29 October 1978. Prominent here is AMTK engine #4935, a GG1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata by the Pennsylvania Railroad during March of 1943, rated at 4,620 horsepower, later owned by Penn Central and Amtrak, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. It's powering an NRHS excursion from Washington to Strasburg and back.
