Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Sandusky, Ohio, in April of 1955. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6478, a J-1A (2-10-0) "Texas" built in Juniata during March of 1943 and retired in April of 1958 after just 15 years of revenue service. The exact date is not recorded. ("Demonlum"; #16 of 18)

Description:
Young. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Andrew D. Young that was taken in Columbus, Ohio, in the Summer of 1955. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6478 and #6468. Both are 2-10-4 "Texas" locomotives built in Juniata. Engine #6478 is a J-1A constructed during March of 1943 and retired in April of 1958, while #6468 is a J-1 built in February of 1943 in April of 1958. Produced and distributed by Evda Slides of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
