| Franklin is the Seat of St. Mary Parish, and is on the former Espee SUNSET ROUTE; but up until 1980 it was also served by the Missouri Pacific. After 1970 the MP used trackage rights over the SP to get here from New Iberia, and on to the end of their branch at Garden City. |
