Nyman. Here is an original 35mm color slide by William P. Nixon that was taken at the Brick Yard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 13 April 1956. Shown here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. At sunset, it's descending the Allegheny Mountains and will soon pause at the Altoona Passenger Station on its daily sojourn from New York City to Pittsburgh and back. |
