After hearing NJ Transit's F40PH's the unrebuilt F40PH's really are loud. You could hear it screaming from the top of the hill.

Joe Magruder General I'm sure these are loud since all of NJ Transit's rebuilds have a separate CAT diesel driving the HEP generator while ex Amtrak units have the HEP generator driven by the main 16-645E engine operating at full rpm. 12/16/2007 8:03:50 PM
