Here is the first of two successive original photos by John S. Fisher that were taken in Columbus, Ohio, in May of 1957. Caption On Reverse: "Pennsylvania Class I-1 in Columbus, Ohio. May 1957." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #515, an I-1S (2-10-0) "Decapod" built in Juniata in October of 1918 and retired in January of 1960 after 42 years of faithful service. The road number of the N-5 cabin car is not recorded. |
