New Orleans Public Service streetcars 810, 853, 841 and 840 were at Carrollton Station, displaying either ST. CHARLES or TULANE route signs. All of these cars had been built in 1922, the 810 and 853 by Brill, and the 841 and 840 by Perley A. Thomas, and all were scrapped between 1951 and 1955. The last day of operation for the ST. CHARLES and TULANE belt lines was 7 January 1951. (approximate date of photo) |
