| AW. Here is an image of a photo by Arlington J. Wolfe that was taken from the 24th Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 19 August 1933. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6956 and #5418. Both were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #6956 is an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" constructed during December of 1926 and retired in November of 1949, while #5418 was built in February of 1927 and retired in February of 1956. In this context, they're passing SLOPE Tower with a passenger train that's on its way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Johnstown and points West.
