| Built by Budd in 1950 for Southern Pacific's Golden State Limited as SP #9020, one of 25 cars ordered in 06-1948 by SP for that train. Configured as a 10/6 sleeper the car was sold to Amtrak and numbered 2696 In 1980 the car had the interior refurbished and HEP installed at Beech Grove, renumbered 2451 and named Birch Grove. Retired by Amtrak and sold at auction to Chuck Grisler in 1995. To Tom McOwens 1997. To Brian Collins (Cincinnati Railway Company) 2001 A major interior rebuilding was done by the Lancaster and Chester in 2006. In 2010 a 50 % share was sold to Harry Davis. Assigned PPCX #800736. Purchased by CSX 8/2020 along with Cincinatti Railway dome coach Moonlight Dome. |
