| After New Jersey Transit no longer needed these comets, they sold quite an amount of surplus comets mainly cabcars and a few coaches to Metrolink who needed more cars for expanded services primarily on existing lines. Then when the rotem cars from Hyundai came in, they comets were no longer needed and Metrolink first donated 4 of these coaches to SCRM. Then several cabcars came along years later to SCRM for parts removal and to choose one to keep for museum service. On this day, it was among 5 comets used for the Thomas train for the Day of with Thomas event. |
