Lorenz. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken at the Passenger Station in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, in 1955. Shown here (F to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5836 and another "EP" Class unit whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by GM-EMD. #5836 is an EP-22 constructed in February of 1951 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They're about to pass under the Pedestrian Footbridge with a passenger train bound for Altoona and points West. (Gift from Brad Mann.) |
