Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5472, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1927 and retired in September of 1956 after 29 years of faithful service. In this context, it's powering the "Trail Blazer." The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (Gift from Brad Mann.) |
