| Here is a long distance shot of Reading GP7 #626 & 631. According to the note on the back by photographer Paul Kuehner, the pair are returning from local switching run. Note the coal hoppers in the foreground - the product of the St Nicholas coal breaker. This breaker (coal processing plant for crushing and sorting) was at one time the largest breaker in the world but closed in 1965 and partially dismantled. |
