CN 4-8-2 #6032 sits in the Stratford, Ontario, Canada, steamed up and ready to roll out. The 4-8-2 Mountain-type steam locomotive was built by the Canadian Locomotive Works in October of 1924 (serial #1765, class U-1-b). It was one of 83 such 4-8-2 powerhouses that were on the CN roster at one time. The loco lasted until being scrapped in January of 1959, barely 7 months from when H. L. Goldsmith took this photo. |
