New Orleans Public Service, Inc. cars 860 and 891 were on France Street at Galvez, at the outer end of the DESRIE LINE, shortly before they were replaced with buses. The two cars had been built by the J.G. Brill Co. in 1922, while GALVEZ route bus 1707 – a White Model 788 - was brand-new. The smoke stacks on the other side of the Dixie Beer billboard were at a cement plant along the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal. (approximate day of the month) |
