| A trio of visitors from out-of-town lead a unit train of 2-bay covered hoppers along Harrison St. and past Neenah Foundry Plant 2 & Plant 3 as they head southwest via CN, former SOO, rails at Neenah, WI on 26 Jan. '19. Train had three locomotives, BNSF 6699, BNSF 7587, BNSF 6328. Plant 2 opened in 1960 and Plant 3 was built in 1967. Plant 1 opened in 1918 and stood about a mile to the north, until it was closed in 1994 and eventually demolished. The former C&NW rails can be seen to the right. |
