| Sunday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 02 May 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2229, #2501, and #2529. #2229 is an EF-22 built by EMD in 1963 and rated at 2,200 horsepower. #2501 and #2529 are GF-25's built by General Electric and rated at 2,500 horsepower each; #2501 was built in 1962, but #2529 was built in 1964. They are pulling a 45-car westbund manifest freight train through the Altoona Passenger Station on their way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. The caboose is N-8 #478159.
