Site of Tower 149 Alsonia [Edinburg-Faysville]
This view looks north where the SP (running north-south) crossed MP (running east-west). The Mo-Pac Faysville-Monte Christo branch was abandoned in 1964 so the tower was eliminated then. SP abandoned their Edinburg-Falfurrias section in 1979-80.

Randy Curlin	General	Back around 2000, I unknowingly drove on a road that is visible in the photo. When I confirmed from topo/aerial maps that this is the site of Tower 149 [Alsonia] I discovered the road to be privately owned and gated. There are warning signs of no trespassing and video surveillance of the area. This was taken from a public road with a long lens.	10/4/2015 7:14:59 PM
