| A contemporary look at the former passenger yard. This shot is from the new Penobscot River Bridge looking south & taken near sunrise on a slow Summer Sunday morning. The camera is quite close to where the north end of the passenger car shed roof once was. Although not visible in this perspective close inspection reveals a string of cement foundation supports running parallel with the pavement under the trash containers. Union Station was to the right beside the switches. /DL |
