The Rico was built as D&RG mail car #4, then D&RG excursion car No.569. The RGS bought it in 1890, designated it as construction car c-3, then rebuilt at the Burnham shops in 1892 as business car Rico. Re-named Montezuma by 1909, then B-21, and later converted for MOW service. The Rico today does not have its original(1892 business car interior) anymore. The CCRM did a fine job building a new interior. Rail fan Jim Lockart photographed the car on a visit to the Museum in 1980. |
