A CN local prepares to service the Seneca Foods Corp. facility on S. Cleveland St. in Shawano, WI, on 19 Sep. '20. The address on the door is 200 N. Green Bay Ave., Gillett, WI, 54124, which seems to indicate that the canning plant in Gillett trucks their products about 25 miles to Shawano to be shipped by rail. Gillett was served by C&NW from 1884 to 1981. This facility is currently served by CN via former SOO rails. I haven't discovered what the old foundation to the right used to be. |
