Description:  In the summer of 1990, a Soo Line crane and flat car wandered out to Withrow and tore down the neat old, station that was at the junction of the Chicago and Duluth/St. Ste. Marie line. I had my first railroad experience as a five year old at this station in 1967.

Description:  A Plymouth Sub local rounds the curve from St. Paul switch into Hilbert. St. Paul switch is where trains headed from Neenah/Menasha on the joint Milwaukee-Soo Line right of way were directed to either Manitowoc on the Soo, or onto the Milwaukee Road main that connected Milwaukee to Ontonagon via Green Bay line.

Description:  The WSOR working on the spur to the Seneca canning facility located on former Chicago and Northwestern right of way. Ripon was once home to an at grade crossing of the Chicago and Northwestern and the Milwaukee Road. The Milwaukee Road line is still in use as a branch from Horicon to Oshkosh with the WSOR. The Chicago and Northwestern line in use is only two short spurs from the junction. One is a storage track along Gothic Mill Pond. The other is to the canning plant, about a half mile to the east of the junction.
