Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6738 and #6795. Both are M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" steam locomotives. #6738 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A in June of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in October of 1948, and retired in September of 1959. #6795 was built by the Lima Locomotive Works as an M-1A in April of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in August of 1944, and retired in December of 1956. Middle Photo Caption: "Q-2 4-4-6-4 6186 and M-1 6985 chatted in Fort Wayne, Ind., yard. Latter was destined to outlive the former thanks to simpler machinery."
