It was published originally in the September 1956 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 26. Photos by Philip R. Hastings. Top Photo, Partial Caption: "Doubleheading Pennsy J-1 2-10-4's." Shown here (R to L) are portions of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6488 and the coast-to-coast tender of #6486. #6488 is a J-1A (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during April of 1943 and retired in October of 1957 after just 14 years of revenue service.
