Title:
PRR 4839, GG-1, 1965
Description:
WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona on 28 March 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #4839, a GG-1 built in Juniata during July of 1935. It is traveling non-stop through the North Philadelphia Station with a 13-car passenger train from New York City to Washington. The time is 12:08 P.M.
