| Album Info: | With Jack Smith giving me the heads up of a Geometry train heading towards me, I was keeping and ear out on the scanner.
Torrential rains over the last few days have been wrecking havoc with the Signal Installers in the area; so their work windows have been running overtime.
Finally, around 7pm, I get word over the radio that the H-HOUTUL (nb manifest Houston, TX - Tulsa, OK) would be coming north from Orr, and to meet with the H-TEAEGW (sb manifest; Teague, TX to UP Englewood Yard, Houston, TX) at Flynn. The TEAEGW would take and occupy the south end of the Flynn Siding, with the Geometry Train taking the siding as well, but tucking behind the Englewood on the north end of the siding.
With heavy overcast, and darkening night sky, I was losing my window of opportunity.
But, at 20:40, the EGW pulled in, and his last car entered the siding, the headlights of the Geometry Train came around the bend. Finally, at 21:00, in pulled the Geometry Train and stopped in front of the house.
