Album Info:I came across this series of B&W prints on eBay years ago. Early June seems a bit late for a frost related ballast and road bed failure, do I stand corrected?? I suspect these scenes were taken along Riverside Road. I attribute these photos to Frank SMith of Rockland.. /DL

Description:  The track crew in the foreground are pusing 20 or so new ties on a tie cart. This is in the days before a tie handler apparently. The river is to the right so this scene must be looking time table east. If the flange damage to the ties in the foreground is recent then the train must have been headed towards Augusta when the excitement took place... /DL
