More than a mile from the B&O.
Title:  More than a mile from the B&O.
Description:  I first found this almost 20 years ago, can't find the picture I took then. Looked for it yesterday and couldn't find it. Wendy and Todd were walking my granddog Duke and found it for me, thank you. I remember reading that cars were loaded with quarry stones and sent downhill via gravity and handbrake. They were brought back uphill via donkeys.

Ordinarily there would've been a train in this shot.
Title:  Ordinarily there would've been a train in this shot.
Description:  CVSR is closed due to repeated heavy snows that have melted due to repeated heavy rains. As a result, some of the line is under water, some is missing ballast and all of it will require thorough inspections. This will take a while to put right.
